PETQuarters Hill’s Prescription Diet Compliance Chrome Extension

Purpose of the extension

The PETQuarters Hill’s Prescription Diet Compliance Chrome Extension is an internal business tool used on authorised PETQuarters point-of-sale computers.

The extension assists PETQuarters team members in completing the required customer acknowledgement process when eligible Hill’s Prescription Diet products are included in a Retail Express sale.

The extension is not intended for general public use and operates only within the authorised PETQuarters Retail Express point-of-sale environment.

Information handled by the extension

While a Retail Express sale is being processed, the extension may read or handle:

• The pet name entered by the PETQuarters team member
• Hill’s Prescription Diet product names and product numbers
• The Retail Express sale or invoice identifier
• The acknowledgement date and time
• The PETQuarters outlet
• The salesperson associated with the transaction
• Information displayed in the current Retail Express sale
• The existing contents of the Retail Express Private Comments field
• Confirmation that the customer acknowledgement process was completed

This information may be associated with a customer transaction held within Retail Express.

How the information is used

The information is used only to:

• Detect eligible Hill’s Prescription Diet products in the current sale
• Display the required customer acknowledgement
• Record the pet name and completed acknowledgement
• Prevent completion of the sale until the required process has been completed
• Record the acknowledgement in the Retail Express Private Comments field
• Support PETQuarters’ compliance and auditing obligations

The extension does not use this information for advertising, behavioural profiling, creditworthiness assessment or lending purposes.

Storage in Retail Express

When the acknowledgement process is completed, the extension writes a record into the Private Comments field of the applicable Retail Express transaction.

Information stored within Retail Express is handled in accordance with PETQuarters’ business procedures and the operation of the Retail Express service.

Local browser storage

The current version of the extension also creates a local backup record within the Retail Express website storage on the applicable POS computer.

The local record may contain:

• Sale or invoice identifier
• Product name
• Product number
• Pet name
• Acknowledgement timestamp
• Outlet
• Salesperson

The local backup is stored on the applicable computer and Chrome profile. It is not automatically transmitted to The Image Factory, Google, advertising providers or analytics providers by the extension.

The local record may remain until the Retail Express website data is cleared from the browser or the record is otherwise removed.

Sharing and disclosure

Information handled by the extension may be accessible to:

• Authorised PETQuarters employees
• Authorised PETQuarters administrators
• Retail Express, as the provider of the point-of-sale system
• Authorised auditors or compliance personnel where access is reasonably required
• Regulatory, law-enforcement or other parties where disclosure is required or authorised by law

PETQuarters does not sell information collected or handled through the extension.

The extension does not transfer information to advertisers, data brokers, lenders or unrelated third parties.

Security

The extension is restricted to the authorised Retail Express POS website:

https://pos.retailexpress.com.au/

All executable extension code is included within the extension package. The extension does not download or execute program code from an external server.

Access to the extension is managed through PETQuarters’ managed Chrome browser environment. PETQuarters takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The extension’s use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information is used only to provide or support the extension’s stated Hill’s Prescription Diet compliance function.
